Cardinals 2008

Well, I just recorded the first Redbirds of a Feather podcast! It’s about 15 minutes long. I talk about how the Cardinals performed in the spring and the upcoming season. I included the schedule for the week and the starting pictures.

I really think the Cards will need to outscore most of their opponents until some of their pitchers are healed. The health of Carpenter and Mulder will be particularly important. If Clement can come back and be his old self, that will just increase our chances. We have the potential of having one of the best pitching staffs in baseball.

Our new MV3 is Pujols, Ankiel and Glaus. Our outfield has the potential to be one of the best in baseball. All in all, this will be an exciting season! If you’re interested in the podcast, please email me at redbirdpodcast@gmail.com. The podcast will be available on iTunes soon.

Hey Bro, you are really dreaming!!! You shouldn’t really talk about potentialy having one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, at least until you are sure the pitchers in question (Mulder and Carpenter) are coming back. Take it from someone who was anxiously awaiting the return of Mark Prior and Kerry Wood in the past Either way if you really think the Cards can gain any real momentum before the main pitching core returns, you are drinking too much red kool-aide. Their best bet is for them to have many surprise performances, and to have Milwaukee and/or the Cubs to underachieve. Another thing, you should be ashamed of yourself for using the MV3 status of Pujols, Edmonds, and Ankiel to Pujols, Ankiel and Glaus. Furthermore big bro, the object of the game is to outscore your opponent, so your comment of ” I really think the Cards will need to outscore most of their opponents until some of their pitchers are healed.”, well frankly, they will have to do so even after (or if) their pitchers are healed.

Lay off the Cardinal Kool-Aide!!!
